German WWII Luftwaffe tunic. This is a LW tunic for an enlisted man in the flak Artillery. Tunic is Luftwaffe blue/gray wool, and shows use and wear, but still nice. Tunic has collar tabs in Red for Flak, and each collar tab has three gulls to each for the rank of obergefreiter. The collar tabs are hand sewn on. The shoulderboards are also red piped for Flak and are slip-on style. There is a white on blue eagle sewn to above the pocket flap. On the other side are loops for two awards. The buttons are silver pebbled soild backs with the makers name on them. On the sleeve is the rank chevron and below that is a specialtiy patch for Radio Operator. Tunic is the standard four pocket style. The liner is full and is of a gray cotton material. There is a repair at the underarm area from wear. There is the standard markings for size and the L.B.A. 37 date as well as another stamp. The lower pockets were moved up some, this was done period and was sewn by the soldier to shorten the waist. Nice overall tunic but does show even wear all over.
