German WWII Administration Admirals frockcoat. Very Rare to find an Admin admirals frockcoat, and this one is named. Fine quality doeskin wool, very soft. This is a frockcoat and is a dress greatcoat for formal ocassions. Coat has all silverwashed KM buttons, these are real silverwash and some of the wash is worn off. On the sleeves, and the rank strips, all the insignia is in a silver color, not gold as is normal for an administration admiral. Above that is the Technicals officials patch for a high grade career in silver bullion wire weave. On the shoulders, the boards are "T" style are are admirals boards, silver and gold wire weave on a dark blue base. The KM rank is Ministerialdirigent (Konteradmiral). There is a silver wire woven strip under each board for when the admiral wears the formal large dress boards, and the button is a silverwash screwpost button. A really well made silver wire bullion weave breast eagle on the chest. The frockcoat has loops for several awards and a ribbon bar. There are a few period repairs to the wool, and a replacement patch near the awards loops. The liner is a black silk material and is really nice, a small wear section above the inner pocket. Inside the inner pocket is the name tag, named to H. Methling and dated 1938. Matching tailors tag in the neck for H. Clausen. This is a rare frockcoat and rarely seen.
